On this occasion, the meeting of the Council served to guide concrete work plans, discuss commercial missions to Silicon Valley, present internal statutes of the Council and discuss the need to strengthen domestic space law. In addition, the progress of the licensing process for a spaceport at the Ceiba airport was presented.

The Puerto Rico Aerospace and Aeronautical Industry Council meets for the first time with the aim of maximizing economic development opportunities, fostering job creation, and strengthening Puerto Rico's key infrastructure, by pooling resources, strategies, and efforts under an unprecedented governmental body.
